Grocery Shuttle

The Alexandra Resort now offers a daily shuttle to the IGA at 4:30pm.  The cost is $9.00 per person round trip.  Save on car rental fees and avoid carrying heavy grocery bags back to the resort with this great service.

Cricket has been played in the Turks & Caicos since the 1950's.  Island teams regularly competed against each other, especially on public holidays.  The first game of cricket was played on Provo in 1983.  There are now six cricket teams in Provo.  In February 2008, Turks & Caicos won the ICC America's Division Three Championship in Argentina.  If you would like to watch cricket when you visit Turks & Caicos, visit www.TCICricket.com to learn more about the various teams and game schedules.

If you want to see humpback whales, start planning a winter getaway to Turks & Caicos!  From late December through April, the entire Atlantic herd of 2,500 Humpback Whales pass through the shores on their annual migration to the Mouchoir Bank, just 20 - 30 miles southeast. During this period divers can listen to an underwater concert of the whales' songs. 

With the full moon coming up this week, thought this was an appropriate post for the day!  If you haven't been on a glow worm cruise yet, plan on adding it to your itinerary the next time you visit Provo.  Three to six days after a full moon, and about one hour after sunset, the marine worm Odontosyllis enopla perform a sparkling mating ritual.  The spectacular "stars in the water" show lasts for about 15 minutes.  Please let us know when you plan to visit and our concierge will be pleased to help you reserve an excursion.
