Alexandra Resort and Spa Offers Only Vacation Ownership Weeks in Turks & Caicos Islands

by AlexandraResort 17. January 2012 12:31

The beachfront Alexandra Resort offers the only vacation ownership (also known as timeshare) program in the Turks & Caicos Islands.

Located on world famous Grace Bay Beach in Providenciales, the Alexandra Resort is a mixed-use resort that offers 32 units in the magnificent beachfront Chelsea Building.  A vacation ownership week starts from as low as $10,000.

Owners in the eight studios, 16 one-bedroom and eight two-bedroom units enjoy incredible views of the turquoise Atlantic Ocean and the stunning white sands of Grace Bay.

The Chelsea Building underwent a $4 million renovation that was completed in 2010.  Kitchens received a complete package of new GE Select stainless steel appliances, to complement the new granite counter tops.  Bathrooms were upgraded with granite tops, new double sinks, and soaking enclosed shower/tub units.

The balconies were outfitted with new cushioned teak furniture. New designer furniture and Serta Platinum pillow top mattresses replaced all the original furniture and bedding.

“The Alexandra Resort’s timeshare program offers tremendous value in exclusive Turks and Caicos Islands,” says Anette Mullings, General Manager.  “It’s easy to spend $10,000 on just one vacation here – our program permits vacationers to enjoy a lifetime of them for that price, and a modest annual maintenance fee.”

The Alexandra Resort is affiliated with Interval International, the quality vacation exchange network.  Vacation ownership owners have the benefit of choosing to exchange the week they own and stay at another Interval International affiliated resort.

Wintering in Provo is more affordable than you think

by AlexandraResort 15. November 2011 11:05

Turks & Caicos Island's reputation for exclusivity misleads some aspiring snowbirds to think it's too expensive to own property and spend the winter here.  Yet Provo is more affordable than you think.  We recently saw manicures for $25, a cell phone SIM card for $10, and eggs benedict with fruit salad, hash browns and a mimosa (champagne with OJ) at a beachfront restaurant for $14.  At the IGA this week, donuts were 60 cents, a gallon of water was $1.40, organic, grain fed chicken was $5.00/pound and raisin bran cereal was $3.00.  At $5.00/gallon gasoline is a bit expensive for American friends (Canadian visitors will find this price about the same as at home) but keep in mind the island is only 21 miles long and you won't get stuck idling in traffic jams here!

Turks and Caicos Tourism Stats

by AlexandraResort 29. September 2011 10:07

If the first half of 2011 is any indication of how busy the winter season may be this year in Turks & Caicos Islands, now is the time to book your winter vacation!  Arrivals to Turks & Caicos from January - June 2011 (compared to January to June 2010) increased by 10% from Canada, 28% from the United States and a whopping 42% from other countries around the globe.

For vacationers, this means reservations should be made now at the Alexandra Resort while our early booking discount offers are in effect and our best inventory is still available.

For potential property hunters, the increase in the number of visitors to the island is good news and bad news.  It's good news because if you own or plan to purchase a condo, you will have the potential to generate some great rental income when you are not using your unit.  The bad news is that with the increasing number of people continuing to discover Providenciales, the bargain prices for properties here won't last much longer.  There are still some amazing condo deals available at the Alexandra Resort, so contact us now for more information.
