Providenciales presents some great shopping opportunities to find deals on jewellery, designer resort apparel and fine artwork. Our very own small boutique next to Guest Services sells some attractive jewellery and clothing.
Outside of the resort, you can easily find some terrific souvenirs and artwork during your visit, and while you won’t find a huge array of duty free or shops on Providenciales, the Grace Bay area has two shopping plazas – Regent Village and Salt Mills - and you're sure to find that perfect gift or keepsake.
Regent Village has art galleries, clothing stores, souvenir shops and jewellery stores, several of which are duty free, as well as a number of restaurants featuring French, Thai, Italian, Indian and international cuisine. There is also FOTTAC (Flavours of the Turks and Caicos), which sells the locally produced Bambarra rum products and invites visitors to enjoy rum sampling. Jais Jewelry and Royal Jewels offer great deals on jewelry and watches.
Just across the street is the Salt Mills Plaza, another shopping center where shopping for souvenirs is easy and affordable. Here you will find more apparel and jewelry shops, a popular art gallery and also the Cuban cigar crafters, Turkberry for delicious frozen yoghurts, and Yoshis Sushi. Salt Mills Plaza is also home to the Potcake Place, a rescue center for the native "Potcake" dogs on the island. You can take a dog out for a walk one day, or even help the center by taking one back to the US which has secured a forever home family.
The Ports of Call retail complex is another shopping area in the Grace Bay area that tourists enjoy visiting. A number of souvenir shops, a dive shop and restaurants are located at Ports of Call, as well as Giggles, which serves soft and hard ice cream and other sugary delights.
Some luxury resorts on Providenciales also feature boutiques. The Palms Turks and Caicos, located adjacent to the Alexandra Resort, has a designer boutique, swimwear shop, gourmet delicatessen and fine arts and crafts gallery. Resort apparel can also be found in boutiques at Seven Stars, Gansevoort and Grace Bay Club.
Book lovers can find a good selection of reading materials and other gifts and toys, at Unicorn Bookstore, located in the same retail complex as the IGA on Leeward Highway.
If you are looking for locally made crafts, visit the crafts marketplace, located just a short walk from the Gourmet Graceway grocery store. The weekly Fish Fry in the bight park every Thursday evening also has several booths with local artists selling their crafts.
