The Turks and Caicos is fortunate to be served by a newly renovated international airport on Providenciales. The Turks and Caicos airport renovations were completed in December 2014.  Guests now arrive at a spacious customs and immigration hall, with quick access to the sunny arrivals area outside the terminal.

Like most hotels on Providenciales, Alexandra Resort does not provide an airport shuttle service, however, there are plenty of public shuttles to make the short 15-minute drive to the resort. Alternatively, you can pre-arrange a private taxi reservation with Guest Services.

Public transfers from the airport to the resort cost approximately $28 for one or two people. Please note that due to the ratio of arriving guests to shuttles, you may be required to share with other resort guests.  Some drivers do charge for additional baggage.  Normally the first two bags are included per person for free. We suggest that you confirm fares prior to departing from the airport.

Once you arrive at the resort, there are several options available for you to explore the island.  A number of hotels and restaurants are within walking distance of the Alexandra Resort.  These properties are easiest to reach by walking along beautiful Grace Bay Beach during the day.  Our resort concierge can provide a map and identify best access points from the beach.  Many guests are interested in walking to Regent Village and Salt Mills Plaza to browse in the boutiques.  It takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes to walk from the resort along the beach to the Regent Village.

Alternatively, you can use the complimentary pedal bikes that are provided by the resort.  These are available on a first-come-first-serve basis through the reception centre.  We recommend use of these bikes during the day, but not at night as not all roads are well lit.

The resort concierge can also assist you with renting a car.  Most car rental agencies will pick you up at the resort and drive you to the rental office.  Remember that driving is on the left in Turks and Caicos.  We also suggest that you reserve a car prior to arrival if you are visiting in peak season, as the supply of rental cars on the island is limited.

The Alexandra Resort also offers a free shuttle service to visit our sister resorts, Beach House and Blue Haven Resort and Marina.  Visit Beach House to enjoy a fine dining experience at Kitchen 218, or take the shuttle to Blue Haven to go grocery shopping at Market, and then enjoy a lovely meal with water views at Fire & Ice, or casual bar fare at Salt.
