A daily JetBlue Turks and Caicos – Ft. Lauderdale service will commence in November.  It is the latest in a series of announcements regarding new non stop flights to Providenciales (PLS) in sunny Turks and Caicos Islands.

According to the JetBlue web site, the daily non stop flight from Ft. Lauderdale will depart at 9:50am EST, and arrive on the TripAdvisor #1 ranked island in the world just in time for lunch.  Arriving passengers will be just a 15 minute drive away from world acclaimed Grace Bay Beach and a host of wonderful restaurants where they can try some island delicacies such as conch salad or freshly caught South Caicos lobster.

Other recent announcements regarding new flights to arrive at the Turks and Caicos airport this winter include a weekly non stop flight with United Airlines from Chicago starting in December (operating on a seasonal basis), and a twice weekly British Airways flight from Gatwick (stopping in Antigua).

JetBlue enjoys a reputation as an airline that offers excellent value, so visitors arriving on the new JetBlue Turks and Caicos flight from Ft. Lauderdale may want to consider staying at a property offering the best beachfront resort value on Grace Bay – Alexandra Resort.

The four star property features spacious studios, one and two bedroom suites, and a four bedroom oceanfront penthouse.  Guests feel right at home in the comfortable suites with full kitchens (kitchenettes in studios), large decks or patios, flat screen TV’s in living rooms and master bedrooms, free Wi-Fi, and free coffee and tea.  Most suites are also furnished with a washer and dryer (some studios are not).

The suites will also benefit from an upgrade program in September, which will include new beds, linens, window coverings, sofa beds, paint and numerous other improvements.

Resort amenities include a lagoon style swimming pool, free non motorized water sports, two tennis courts, use of pedal bikes, exercise room, a spa, and a free dining shuttle to sister properties Beach House Turks and Caicos, and Blue Haven Resort and Marina.  There is also an international restaurant at the resort which is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Guest staying at the Alexandra Resort are also eligible to receive points from Stash, the loyalty rewards program for independent hotels.
