Beach House, a sister property to the Alexandra Resort, has opened a new Turks and Caicos restaurant called Kitchen 218.  The new restaurant features the talents of talented Chilean Chef Cristian Rebolledo, who has worked with Michelin star chefs in Europe including Spain’s Joan Roca, and Ferran Adria at the El Bulli Restaurant and accompanied Chile’s President on various trips abroad as his personal chef.

Chef Cristian focuses on using techniques that allow him to bring out the best flavours in cooking ingredients and surprise guests by challenging their notions of what certain dishes should taste like.

The coconut herb mahi mahi and the Caicos lobster are two popular dishes from the dinner menu.  Chef also encourages patrons to try his famous pumpkin soup, and the sea bass prepared using a ‘sous vide’ cooking method.

In addition to the innovative menu, Kitchen 218 offers some unique dining opportunities, including a seven-course tasting menu, and a private romantic dinner on the beach.

The restaurant is open daily for breakfast and lunch, and for dinner every evening except Thursday.  In addition, an all-day breakfast is served on the weekends, as well as brunch from 11am until 3pm.  Lunch can also be enjoyed on the Beach Terrace, overlooking Grace Bay.  The lunch menu features fresh fish, salads and sandwiches, and a stunning view of the Caribbean Sea.

Alexandra Resort guests can take a free dining shuttle to Beach House.  Reservations for dinner and the shuttle service are recommended, and can be arranged with the Alexandra Resort concierge.

The Alexandra Resort’s other sister property – Blue Haven Resort and Marina – will also be re-launching the menu at its signature restaurant, Fire & Ice, this fall.  Blue Haven’s new executive chef, Vitelio Reyes, will be leading the initiative to bring the resort’s restaurants into the same sphere of culinary influence in the Caribbean that Kitchen 218 now enjoys.  Watch for more announcements regarding the new culinary programs at Blue Haven Resort in the near future.
