Tennis players can stay in shape and on top of their game during a Turks and Caicos vacation. There is an active tennis community on Providenciales and a number of places to play tennis on the island.
The Turks and Caicos Tennis Federation is based from newly built courts on Venetian Road just off Leeward Highway and across from the CARIFTA track (it’s the local way of providing directions, but the courts are easy to find!)
The newly built facilities (2012) include one tournament-sized court and one regular sized court. The courts are lit for night play and are token operated. The courts represent the first phase of efforts currently underway to develop a world- class tennis centre in Turks and Caicos.
Visitors can have the Resort Ambassador contact the TCITF to arrange private or group lessons with the resident pro.
Another popular tennis facility is located at the Graceway Sports Centre, which is located just a short drive down the hill behind the IGA. The facility offers four newly constructed tennis courts, which are illuminated for night play. A resident tennis pro offers private and group lessons.
If you are traveling with someone who likes to golf, why not play tennis at Provo Golf Club while your partner heads to the greens. Provo Golf Club offers two hard-court flood lit tennis courts. After your respective games, meet at the clubhouse for a casual meal and refreshing drinks on the shaded terrace. Locker rooms and showers are also available.
Tennis courts are also available at our own Alexandra Resort. The use of our two hard-court, flood lit facilities is complimentary to our guests. Our Resort Ambassador can also make arrangements for a tennis pro to provide coaching or lessons at the resort.
We hope to see you on the courts on your visit to Turks and Caicos!
